musical instruments

When I was a young child, my parents tried to immerse me with musical instruments. They had me learn as many of them as I could. Some came and went: like trumpet, guitar, flute, violin, and banjo. However, a few musical instruments stuck with me, for example: the drums, viola, piano, and the guitar. When I was a young kid, all the musical lessons after school, and sometimes before school, seemed like a lot of hard work, but now it has all payed off. Being able to play several musical instruments has helped me feel like a more confident person. Also, it has helped me get a few different jobs over the years.
In my spare time, I love to go to parks and practice playing various musical instruments. I can still recall when I was jamming away at the park one day, when a man walked by and stopped to hear me play. I was having a lot of fun jamming out the guitar part to "Vertigo" by U2. The man sat and watched me for a few minutes, but I was sort of used to that by then. After I was done, he walked up and told me that his name was James Sanders, and that he owned a local bar and grill. He said that he was looking for a talented guitar player to play on the weekends, and that he wanted to try me out. I was so happy for the opportunity to work for him, and I immediately agreed.
I now work at his bar and grill on the weekends, and I love every second of it. I am so gracious that my parents helped me learn so many musical instruments when I was young. It has opened a lot of doors for me over the years.
