I remember when I was raising my kids in our family oriented neighborhood that once in awhile I would hear some tunes playing nearby. In the spring time, in particular, when the windows would be open, I would hear my neighbors son practicing his musical intrument. His musical instrument of choice was the viola. He would practice long and hard and we heard every note. It was ok with me, we could close the windows at anytime. My son used to practice on his rented trumpet and my other son would play on the keyboard. Introducing musical instruments at a young age is important to develop an appreciation for music and if you are lucky you can become quite skilled at playing the instrument of your choice. My family loves many different types of music songs and all of us love to listen to different musical instruments. The neighbor who played the viola went on to study music in college and hopes to play with a symphony. I knew all that practice would pay off someday.
