songwriter, songwritingI have a lot of respect for songwriters. I've tried to write a few songs, and it's really challenging. The music isn't so awfully hard to compose, but getting the words to fit the rhythm seems to be beyond me. I don't sing much, which probably explains why I have more trouble with the lyrics than the music. I play a few instruments so putting the music together is much more natural for me.

I found the software pictured here at an online web store and ordered it. It gives me the option of using 24 different instruments and it might be really fun to learn to use so I can learn more about becoming a songwriter. I'm definitely not going to pursue a career in songwriting, but it would be fun to learn more about the art of putting words to music and playing them. Music is a wonderful thing, and I'm glad that it's in my life. Hopefully this software will make it easier for me to record the music I write and then figure out how to lay the lyrics down on top.
