I was at my 25th class reunion recently when I found out that one of the guy’s I graduated with is now a prominent songwriter. He was always a dreamer in school and wrote some of the most beautiful poetry, but I never thought that he would turn it into a songwriting career. It was wonderful to see him after all these years and even though so much time had passed, it was as though not one day had passed between us. We immediately started talking and he told me all about his career as a songwriter and when he mentioned some of the titles, I couldn’t believe some of the people he’d written for. He even told me that he’d taken some of his songs and sold them on the Internet. I was so proud of him and to hear about his life as a songwriter and all the adventures it has brought him. He is very blessed and it was fun to hear about the last 25 years, plus to find out that he’d had a crush on me in high school, something I’d never known.
